#319 Balance Sheet Category Reports
Function
Balance Sheet Categories allows you to create categories to group and summarize balance sheet accounts. It also takes the reconciling items and prints them under the liability section with the description “Cost Allocation Control”. Normally this amount should be the change in leave liability for the year. You can print the Balance Sheet with or without the GL code detail.
Things You Should Know
One user needs to display the Balance Sheet and Agencywide R&E in Monthly Processing to help assure correct information on this report.
To setup Balance Sheet/Cost Categories Setup, visit Balance Sheet/Cost Category Setup
Operating Instructions
Period: Displays the current period when the Agencywide R&E reports were last prepared for. The Balance Sheet under Financial Reports must be displayed to get accurate information on the reports.
Format: Specify the format you wish to use for this report.
With Category Detail: If you want all of the Balance Sheet GL codes to print under each category, put a checkmark next to With Category Detail.
Year End: When running the Balance Sheet under Financial Reports, if you checked Year End there it will be checked in this supplement also.
